China tends to sign a $2 billion deal to build a railroad line in Iran in the first step of a wider plan to tie the Middle East and Central Asia to Beijing.

Egypt's Orascom Construction Industries, or OCI, said Wednesday that Six Construct Qatar, a company owned by OCI's joint venture with Besix Group, has won a $675 million contract to help construct the Doha Convention Center & Tower in Qatar.
